Okay... So, there hasnt been that many updates lately, and frankly, I'm kinda over the whole blog thing. This blog was originally ment as a creative outlet during my year off. Now I'm back in school and on top of that I've been really busy working lately. School, skate and work, not much time for blogging. Adventure day.

I've been working a lot at a local kinder garden lately, so one day I decided I should take some pictures of the kids. Today was adventure day, a day when the kids gets to leave the premises of the kinder garden and go some where else to play or learn. This day we went to a local recreation area called Voldsløkka. The parents of a friend of mine chose to leave the "urban" life in Ski and move to a tiny farm along with friends and family in Råde, Østfold. To make it short, I was there during easter. More photos on flickr.

I took a couple of days off to go party with the people in Hamar, Norway. Henrik Lund is doing a fs noseblunt in a tiny micro ramp at a local kindergardern.

Life Behind the Iron Curtain and Kringsjå Session

Originally I was going to take a picture of my home-town Ski and write a note telling how boring life is here, but when I reviewed the photos I noticed the remarkable similarity to eastern European architecture during the cold war period. That gave me the idea to try to portrait Ski not as an expanding regional center, but as an dusty old Soviet village. More photos here


I also went skating yesterday with Navid Navid. We drove to the Kringsjå ramp in Sogn, Oslo which recently got refurbished. It was a great mini with only a few problems with the coping. A cold, but good session. More photos here

Ive been spending quite some time in Ski lately, and among other things Ive dusted of my old analog SLR camera, an old Nikkormat from back in the 70s.

I actually did some drawing today! Even though it was just grip tape "art" and, pretty cliché-ish, it was okay. Havent done those sorts of things in a while.

So I was on my way to an interview and had just gotten of the bus when I noticed that the stupid little sweeping-car had done a wheel-cart and landed on its side! Not the drivers finest hour.

Whats the deal here you might think. Well, I was hungry and was going to make myself a sausage-cheese-omelet, but when I put it in the microwave to defrost it, it suddenly shrunk and turned wierd. Strange? yep.

So I'm back from Barcelona after a week of work and skateboarding. It seems like the dagbladet story went down the drain, but time will tell. After a while some of my photos might emerge on flickr or deviantArt.

Leaving for Barcelona tonight. Intentionally a skateboard/tanning-trip, but it turned it self into a healthy income rather than all expenses. I'm gonna take photos for Dagbladet, one of Norway's largest newspapers.

Find an old can of paint, a pair of shoes and start painting. I did, and contrary to my own and popular beliefs it turned out ok! Art? No! Fun? Yep!

So I got this survey in the mail today. Its a drugs/alcohol survey done by TNS Gallup for SSB, the Norwegian statistics bureau. In amongst a whole bunch of boring questions this suddenly stood out. Like a giant smack in the face for some, it was suddenly very serious. I guess it must be an emo's worst fear. Face the truth!

Guess what, yesterday i bought a CD! For the first time in about two or three years. Was it worth 50 NOK? Well, I dont know, but I bought it using a gift certificate i found on the floor, so perhaps it was. Death In Vegas, Scorpio Rising.

Lampstuff

This is a lamp I made for my first assignment at AHO (Oslo School of Architecture and Design). It's a traditional table-lamp powered by two LED spots. I focused on the light's texture rather than just the lamp aesthetics.
